Cold Wintery Day
Out on Long Island there are inlets/ponds off the Montauk Highway. They rarely freeze in winter. And with all the worry about thin ice… It was pretty cold. I’d like to say we sent the dog out first, but it was probably one kid or the other who ventured out from the shore. Anyway the ice was plenty thick. Slipping, sliding, and getting snow covered… it’s what winter is about. But it was cold! Nellie has a coat on too. Even with a built in fur coat, Lisa deemed it too cold for the dog to be without a coat.
There’s something Freudian? I’m posting this from Saudi Arabia in 100+ degree heat.
Cute photo. Lisa looked like she was right to clothe Nellie. It looks nippy.

OMG I didn’t realize you have a Cavalier. He looks just like my Brady. Terrific shot.

Nellie. She has the royal spot on her forehead. She was our second cavalier. Reggie was black tricolor. He was a nightmare to photograph. Black just doesn’t photograph easily. Nellie passed away from old age about two years ago now. Her picture is still on my phone screensaver. We haven’t gotten another dog. I still miss her.

Our first Cavalier was a tri-color as well and Brady is a Blenheim. I’m sorry to hear that Nellie isn’t with you any longer, She was beautiful.
