Snow truck

12/8/11

This is a winter Maine shot. Gee, it snows a lot in Maine. I was out wandering one snowy day. Finding an old vehicle is not hard. The folks like to keep their old cars and trucks lined up in the front yard. You can often see a historical timeline of oldest to newest strung out and with varying degrees of rust. This old truck definitely looks better with some new snow.

  1. Looks like some heavy snow coming down. How encouraging to get out when the weather is like that. The old truck doesn’t seem to be bothered by it, but I am sure it’s been out in more snow and wind! Thanks for sharing.

    • You can’t believe how they leave generations of rusted and abandoned vehicles in the front yard as though someday they will miraculously revive and drive away on their own.

  3. Okay, I’m sitting here in sunny CA and complaining because it’s cold in the house and the heater doesn’t seem to keep up. I bow my head in shame. Brrrr. Been to Maine, lived in New England most of my life – thanks for the reminder of how fortunate I am.

    • When the thermometer in the car read -13, I tapped the dashboard unable to believe that the minus sign was real. Yes, indeed it was cold… very very cold.
