the wheels on the bus
“Donald Trump’s presidency is a national emergency!” wrote Representative Ilhan Omar, Democrat of Minnesota.
But it was perhaps Representative Hakeem Jeffries of New York, the No. 5 House Democrat, who most succinctly summed up his party’s response: “We are not paying a $5 billion ransom note for your medieval border wall,” he tweeted, with a castle emoji. “And nothing you just said will change that cold, hard reality.”
The wheels on the bus go round and round… Right now. Right now this is what is in the New York Times. To those of you who read my posts, there is hope. Truth will win out. The good guys are winning. The tantrum continues to shutdown the government. The Mueller investigation continues. There has been no good news from any quarter in a very long time. In fact, think about the last good news. Who was the last person to tell the real truth in the Trump administration. The constant litany has been resignations ahead of the ethics investigations. And now the icing is Defense Secretary Mattis resigning for conscience. Take heart! There are some good and honest people. And some are mad and they ain’t gonna take it anymore:
“People love you, and you win,” she told the room, according to the Detroit Free Press. “And when your son looks at you and says, ‘Mama, look you won, bullies don’t win.’ And I said, ‘Baby, they don’t,’ because we’re gonna go in there, and we’re gonna impeach the motherfucker.” Congresswoman, Michigan Democrat Rashida Tlaib
