Word and Image

Some day

Will it be me? Us? Old? It’s stockings? Huh?! Yes, live art – it depends upon your pronunciation, or, interpretation – of the word or picture. A jacket – for high tea! And rain gear? Well, it is Scotland, emphasis on IS. My SIL – sister in law, no (gene) relation to me – has affected my behavior in every proper museum since she accused me of being irreverent. Oh! My! Yes!! With pleasure my dear, no names please! Honestly, I never thought I would have so much fun in Glasgow. It was the company!! For sure!!

Cute

This random grab shot was on the street. I caught this cute girl twirling her umbrella across the intersection. I liked the hat and the matching tights. It was colorful and graphic. There was a simple message in a single shot.

People

I don’t get too many people ops in Delaware. We don’t see too many people to note. But in Washington DC, photo ops are all around. Keep alert. Shoot early and often. There’s lots to see. I’m still a color guy at heart. I see color not black and white. It works for me. Yes, one needs to be vigilant. What? Umbrellas? Umm…why? I haven’t a clue. …just strangers being strange.

No rhyme or reason here. I like this image straight out of the camera. Flaws, sure?! Often I will take multiples to be sure I have captured the moment. Too often exposure or focus is an issue. This time there was one and only. Post production manipulation is always an option but I don’t choose to do much.

Losing battle

My original title was: “Loser”… too unkind. It could’ve happened to me.

Well, maybe wind challenged? Umm…? So this played out next to us. Poor guy. A small kid. Don’t get scorched. Put up an umbrella. Of course, if you are a tourist to the beach, go cheap. And light (weight). And, you get what you pay for. Throw good money after bad…? You can rent: hourly, daily, week – an umbrella, beach chairs. A good looking young woman will even plant the umbrella and take it away. Easy. No muss, no fuss. Ok, not a loser. Amateur! It was fun to watch. I made up a whole side bar narrative to go along with the pics. Bottom line – go with a better umbrella.
