Drag Race
There is a subculture of racing fans. They come to the drag race track for the sport of it. I mentioned it also (10/13/11) in another post. The deal is to warm up the tires and make them stick to the track before racing. So spin and burn. It’s a heck of a sight. Spinning in place and going nowhere is a variation on ‘spinning your wheels’ which I always took to mean being stuck in the snow.
