Up On The Roof
If you don’t like heights, then turn the page. Lisa was up on the deck at one point during the renovation. Look, that’s Nellie in the corner. She (Nellie) had more sense than to balance on the beam, six floors up. And the surrounding buildings and the skyline has also changed quite a bit since we renovated. The surrounding buildings and the garden deck are also now renovated. The ivy is gone. New buildings have sprouted and the warehouses have become offices and hotels. Ah, change….

Dizzy already. My ex was an ironworker and just thinking about the heights he had to climb was torture. He was killed in a major collapse of a new building he was working on. Twenty-eight men were killed or buried in the rubble that day. All they found of my ex was his wallet.

That is a pretty sobering story. Lisa’s not particularly brave (more cautious) and not terribly balanced. Looking back at this shot I am amazed at her nerve. And I would have to say that she is always full of surprises. It gives me a queasy feeling to look back at this shot and see her balancing. So sorry to hear about such a terrible accident with your ex.

You would not find me trapezing along on a roof. You have a brave wife. Changing landscape in a city is a common affair, some not so good.
